Learn to use watercolor to capture nature in color. In this four-week class, you will learn watercolor techniques such as laying a wash, glazing, and dry brush. Work under the guidance of your instructor to practice techniques with simple exercises, and complete several small pieces throughout the course.
If you don’t have supplies, no problem! Purchase a supply kit for an affordable $15, and enjoy the opportunity to develop your skills with this familiar medium in a supportive environment.
Optional supply kit (includes paints, watercolor paper, and a brush) available for purchase during check out. Supply kits can be mailed to those who register at least 10 days before the first class; otherwise, kits can be picked up at The Morton Arboretum.
Prerequisites: Participants should have taken Begin to Draw Nature or have equivalent foundational drawing skills.
School Notes: The registrars office is the one who confirms registrations ([email protected]). They respond to emails Monday through Friday between 8:30 and 4pm.
If a student registers through Coursehorse on Friday evening for a Saturday class, we will not have a way to confirm them.
