What you'll learn in this glass bead class:

Come learn hot and cold techniques for bead making in this weekend course. This class will begin with demonstrations on a range of bead techniques including dot patterns, marver textures, and frit application. Once cooled, students will learn how to clean beads and employ a wide variety of coldworking techniques to further embellish and treat the surfaces of their beads.

Some experience in beadmaking is helpful but this class is open to beginners as well.

Please Note:

Preparation for Classes
Students should bring notebooks to each class for sketching steps to techniques, recording inspiration, and planning class projects. Students wishing to use specific tools or materials not supplied in class are responsible for obtaining these items themselves.

Proper Studio Attire
For your safety, protective eyewear must be worn at all times in all areas of the UrbanGlass Studio. We will provide appropriate eyewear for your use. Appropriate work clothes are also required. Flammable or synthetic fabrics, sandals and open-toe shoes are not allowed. Long hair should be tied back.
