This course will cover two often-overlooked concepts in Chinese herbal medicine: Pao Zhi and Dui Yao. Pao Zhi – the processing of medicinal substances for enhanced therapeutic effect. Dui Yao – the art of combining medicinals.

- Learn the types of Pao Zhi and how they affect medicinal properties.
- Learn how to use Pao Zhi within formulae to affect its efficacy.
- Learn the art of combining medicinals in empirically verified building blocks.
- Learn the common Dui Yao combinations and how they are used in formulae.
