------
If you’re looking for a refund or class credit for a public workshop, you need to back out of the class a full week before it starts. (No exceptions!) We know it’s draconian, but since we aren’t charging an arm and a leg and have to reserve space and purchase materials in advance, it’s hard to deal with last-minute changes.
We also can’t transfer registrations to a future session of the class. Sorry!
Instead of dropping out if you have a schedule conflict, a better idea is to ask around and see if any of your friends want the spot. We can’t give you a refund less than a week out, even if there’s a wait list for the class.
Regarding bad weather, we generally only cancel classes if the subway system stops running. If traveling during snowstorms might be an issue for you, please take this into account before registering for a class.
Students who attended the Design Thinking Crash Course found it to be an excellent introduction to design thinking, with a focus on hands-on practice rather than just theory. The instructor, Tim, explained the concepts well and created a comfortable and supportive environment. Participants left the class with tools and a clear understanding of how to apply design thinking in their work. The interactive format, including group and solo exercises, provided practical examples and formalized the problem-solving framework. Some students felt that the class was a bit cursory and would prefer a longer training, but overall, it was considered a great refresher course for brainstorming and design thinking. Quotes: - "The design thinking process was well articulated. I left with some tools to use for design thinking and a clear understanding of its uses." - "This is the perfect refresher course on brainstorming and design thinking." - "Fast-paced class that definitely helped refine my initial idea and bust out of fixed thinking."
