Good overview of the basics. My main critique is that the instructors seem to have expertise in particular aspects of production but aren’t necessarily knowledgeable in all areas, so what you get out of the course is limited.

Great course for beginners with little or no technical experience. Covered camera, lighting, audio and shooting fundamentals. Small class size and great teacher!

Class was cancelled last minute because of the snow. They gave me credit back, but would've appreciated a little something extra for the inconvenience.

Question from Jesse
Hello, I'm a working professional in another industry and have no prior experience or education in this field, so I'm curious if this class is the best/ideal one to start with, or do you recommend I have some education already?
Answer from Jasmine S. Verified Student
I think it’s geared towards beginners. It might depend slightly on the people that end up taking your workshop, but it was overall very basic. I just suggest reading the booklet they email beforehand.
Answer from Brenda L. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Production Week is a condensed version of our fundamentals classes (3 hours per fundamentals class rather than 6 if they are taken individually) and has no prerequisites. Out of all the offerings, the fundamentals classes are the best place for beginners to start, so Production Week is suitable for beginners. If the student wants a little more time to spend on each subject, we recommend you look at taking the fundamentals classes (Camera, Lighting, and Audio Fundamentals) separately.
