Summer Vocal Intensive Beginner/Intermediate Level

The beginner/intermediate vocal workshop is really about having fun while learning the fundamentals of jazz voice and overall basic vocal technique. This four day intensive workshop with Olivia Foschi is designed for beginner students who would like to learn how to control and develop their singing voice in a safe and healthy way and gain a better understanding of aspects that include: vocal quality, rhythm, phrasing, timing, improvisation, interpretation, stage presence and verbal/nonverbal communication. Students are provided with a vast selection of vocal exercises and breathing exercises to help improve tone, elasticity and range are given the tools necessary to learn how to sustain and support their singing voice. During this workshop students will also learn new repertoire and explore interpretative possibilities while touching upon basic aspects of music theory. Students are invited to explore and develop their singing voices at their own individual pace and are given a chance to overcome the fear of singing in front of others.
