What you'll learn in this marketing strategy course:

The well-being of our employees, students, clients, instructors, and guests is our number one priority here at General Assembly. We are monitoring the COVID-19 situation very carefully and are adjusting delivery of our programs.

Due to the current health concerns, all GA short-form events, workshops & bootcamps will temporarily be held online - including this one.

Registered students will be notified 24 hours in advance of this program with information on how to log in to the Zoom Meeting Room and other tools you’ll need for the session. Registration for this class will close 2 hours prior to the session start in order to allow all students ample opportunity to have the technology enabled.

Social media initiatives don’t start when you register a Facebook or Twitter account and start posting announcements, it begins much sooner. In this workshop, you’ll be taken through how to understand social media platforms and learn how to develop and implement an actionable social media strategy. You’ll learn how to structure your social media efforts, captivate your audience on each social media platform, and build brand awareness, loyalty, and sales.

School Notes:
For students enrolling in 12 week part time and immersive classes, it is not recommended that you book more than one class simultaneously.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

    Good class. Late start may have affected pacing which at times seemed a little quick for depth of info being introduced. Wish slide deck had more info written out to reinforce verbal presentation. For example- meaning of acronyms or short, key-point breakdowns. Instructor was very knowledgeable.

    I had no clue about social media (at least from business perspective) and went in the lecture sort of nervous. However Jen was awesome - she had sweet and easy disposition, and provided us so much insightful advice and tips. Her energy and talk were very inspiring as well. If anyone’s looking for where to start strategizing social media part of their business, I think it’s a good point to do so as you will learn lots of tools and what to do first from this class.

    This class was the best I have taken so far at GA! Nikki is a fantastic teacher and very knowledgeable. I just wished that the students would have asked their personal / business / work goal questions at the end of the class because they hindered the progress of the entire class. Or maybe there should be a Q&A at the end of the session in short duration classes. So that the entire presentation can be completed at the right pace and not rushed through.

    Fantastic class and great class participation. The instructor, Ms. Wehrley, covered many topics and answered many questions for the varied applications of students. It's a short class, but you leave with a desire to learn much more, and to further explore the topics the instructor raised, and the tools, resources and applications that are raised during the class. Money and time well spent.

    Hello, I found the course to be very informative and enjoyable. However, I am still waiting for the instructor to email the class slide presentation. He gave his word that we'd receive the presentation via email for future use and I'd love to have to it! I am looking forward to taking future courses.

Hi! I am looking into taking the 3-hour social media class. I use my iPhone for all my social media accounts. I do not have a laptop. The class proclaims you need to bring a laptop. Is there any way to take this class with an iPhone, according to the instructor. If not, what are the main benefits of using a laptop?
