Leading Through Facilitation - Support Productive Conversations and Collaboration in Your Team and Community

Leading Through Facilitation builds upon our Intro to Facilitation workshop and focuses on how to lead a successful facilitated session, highlighting strategies and techniques for managing group dynamics. With specific examples, tailored techniques and a participatory activity, this class will bridge the gap between theory and practice.

This workshop builds upon Intro to Facilitation – Fundamentals in Becoming a Confident Leader & Effective Facilitator. Prior attendance is recommended, but not required if you are familiar with facilitation and co-creation.

Build skills in:
Facilitation, Public Speaking, Collaboration, Communication, Productive Meetings, Participatory Design, Leadership Skills, Managing Group Dynamics, Confidence Building, Practical Facilitation Application, Managing Difficult Situations, Troubleshooting Team Dynamics

Outcomes of this interactive workshop:
  • Gain strategies and techniques for being a strong facilitator and leader
  • Develop skills to manage timelines and output of activities
  • Learn activities that lead to collaboration and participatory design
  • Embody techniques to reframe difficult questions and support a productive dialogue
  • Understand how to anticipate and manage group dynamics, and tackle common facilitation challenges
