We are a teaching studio consisting of a community of ceramic artists who are qualified to support and guide the novice, or who stimulate and collaborate with experienced artisans.

The Potter's Wheel studio offers six sessions a year. Adult sessions consist of seven three-hour long classes in hand building or wheel throwing classes over a two-month period. Additional workshops over the course of the year will touch on other methods and styles, which include raku, sculpture, and other glazing techniques, to name a few.

Beginners of all ages are always welcome.

Grace was very helpful and patient. It was my first time spinning pottery, and she was very attentive every step of the way, offering thoughtful instruction, tips, and corrections. Grace did a very good job at showing us how it is done herself and giving us ample feedback while we were on the wheel. I was amazed at how well our pots turned out for our first time, and I can't wait to pick it up in three weeks!

As long as your hands/fingers are positioned correctly with the right amount of pressure (need strength) then you'll be golden! I couldn't have asked for a better teacher to explain the step by step process to get the right thickness. I was very pleased with this class and can already imagine myself doing wheel throwing for many years to come.

The studio itself was great, my only issue was not being able to go in & make something that I wanted to make. I felt that the instructor Didnt care to hear my requests on what I was hoping to create. Instead it was way less hands on & kind of a bummer. I’m hoping to find a studio that allows more of a creative, hands on experience in the future.

I really enjoyed the class. Grace was very hands-on with us and informative. She also accommodated my groups poor scheduling and rescheduling choices. You can learn a lot in an hour. Hopefully, your memory works a little better than mine though!
