Welcome to The Village Workshop. A great place to learn watercolor technique. Work in light filled studios in the heart of Greenwich Village, NYC!
The Village Workshop was opened in 2004 by Kaaren Lewis in her Manhattan loft space where she presently teaches classes in watercolor painting.
Kaaren Lewis is a graduate of Parsons School of Design, and studied painting there with John Caceare. She also enrolled in the Sculpture Program at The California School of Fine Arts under the tutelage of sculptor Gabriel Kohn.
Great host. Very fun class. The teacher is great. She has a lot patience and is a lot of fun. She puts out coffee and snacks for the class also!
I have taken this class before and it never disappoints. Great teacher, nice environment.
i enjoyed the class very much. The instructor is very helpful.

Great class! I will definitely take another one!
This was a great experience, even if you're completely new to watercolor, you go out being proud of your work ! Thank you !
The instructor is very talented, and while she will loosely guide you, she provides good tips and demonstrations. Great class!
Great tips on painting with watercolor, nice atmosphere, a nice group of students. The best painting class I've ever taken. Really enjoyable.
Great teacher and overall, great experience!
A really great place to learn more about watercolor. Karen is helpful, but gives the students lots of independence. It is not a typical class, no step by step guides but it helps you be able to take the skills you learned and use them when you come home. Definitely should try!
simply outstanding experience with karen! It was my 1st watercolor class and she inspired me and gave lots of hands-on attention. Informative, warm, and welcoming evening - can't wait to go back!
