Maria Pacca

Teaches at Unarthodox

An energetic experienced artist, Maria Pacca speaks with a visual voice that is universal. Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Pacca graduated from California University at Long Beach with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts and further pursued her studies at the Chouinard Art Institute in California. Her landscapes in watercolor are bold and free. Her charcoal figure drawings are passionate. Pacca has held five one-woman exhibits and several group shows in Guatemala, Brazil, California, Hawaii and Colorado. Her paintings hang in private collections worldwide.

Maria has recently returned from a 5 year stay in São Paulo, Brazil, where she was teaching watercolor and drawing at MuBE - Brazilian Museum of Sculpture, as well as the SESC Foundation. As an Unarthodox instructor, Maria is showing the way to letting go of fears, finding one’s creative voice and having fun with the process. Besides applying these ideals to her own work, she encourages her students to do the same.

Hi! I really loved this class! The instructor Maria Pacca was fantastic with me, beginner in Collage, but I learned exactly what I was hoping to, and more. I know the basics of Collage now and the atmosphere of the school is pleasantly warm!! Now I have what I need to practice on my own projects! Thank you Maria and Unarthodox School! Malu
