Ingrid Aravena

Ingrid is a born and raised New Yorker, who grew up on Brooklyn. She attended Bronx H.S. of Science and continued on to pursue a degree in film production from Wesleyan University in CT. After graduating with honors, Ingrid went on to work in some major production companies in NYC, heading media teams and producing big budget projects. She has always been passionate about teaching. Ingrid started teaching at T-Square, a small grassroots organization in CT. She worked as mentor to kids in an underprivileged community, helping the kids to empower themselves through photography and film. For the past several years, Ingrid worked as teacher and counselor at Construction Kids where she taught all the aspects of woodworking to children ranging from age 4 to age 11. She worked in several after-school programs and workshops teaching the ABC’s of filmmaking to kids of all ages. Ingrid’s teaching philosophy is all about empowering kids with the necessary tools to express their thoughts, opinions, and complex imaginations. And she makes sure that all her teachers and assistants uphold this ideology!
