Eno Edet

Teaches at Unarthodox

Eno is passionate about exposing children to their creativity. Nurtured as a performing artist in New York City’s underground scene, Eno spent five years performing and studying under the tutelage of Judith Malina. Guided by Judith Malina and The Living Theatre, Eno became immersed in experimental art and the exploration of abstract artistic concepts and ideas. In 2013, he decided to take the principles he learned in the underground scene and started to create his own children’s books. During this time, Eno started to teach the creative arts at MS 57 to inner-city youths in East Harlem. In 2015, Eno released his first children’s book “Hey Kid, Can You Spare A Dream” to independent bookstores in New York and Chicago.

Eno is currently a senior at The City College of New York majoring in Studio Art, and is a member in the school’s Publishing Certificate Program.

Eno’s approach to teaching, is not teaching children to become the most technically skilled artists. But to show them how to communicate their emotions using various artistic mediums. Art has a different meaning to everyone, and every human being has a story to tell.
