Jean Philippe

Teaches at JP Linguistics

Jean-Philippe (JP) was born and raised in the city of Nancy, in the Lorraine region where he obtained his BA with honors with a double major in English linguistics and literature and in Teaching French to foreigners at the Université de Nancy 2, France.

Then he moved to the Chicago-land area for his graduate studies to pursue a degree in French Linguistics specializing in phonetics and phonology.  Jean-Philippe has taught English to High School students and B.T.S. in France as well as French and ESL at Northern Illinois University. He was the head of the French Residential Program and the assistant director of the Foreign Language Residence Program at NIU. He joined the Alliance Française of New York in 2011 where he taught adult and Children's classes. Jean-Philippe then taught at New York University for 3 years. He is now teaching every French level including specialty workshops at JP LInguistics.
