While professionally tutoring mathematics and science at Arizona State University, Steven was referred by a friend to back-fill a data analyst role, and learned SQL coding in the week before the position start date. In the time since he has progressed from report-building in Excel to fully live and dynamic, user-experience focused dashboard design with multiple underlying data structures. Steven's previous roles include a Senior Data Analyst and a Tableau Developer, and he is currently supporting an ETL application and data-driven marketing platform for Redpoint Global. He has a keen interest in the effective leveraging of data to drive actionable insights, and aspires to share what he has learned in his career along with the fundamentals of analytics in shaping new data analysts for the growing demand of today’s work force. In his spare time, Steven enjoys competing in Historical European Martial Arts and plays classical guitar.
