A Day In Art Brooklyn Saturdays are tours to artist studios led by New York City based visual artist Jo Wood-Brown and emerging curator Alyssa Johnson. Our tours are noted for their inclusive and interactive dialog in a shared dynamic between art history, artist, viewer and the art-work.
What you will Learn:
This season, A Day in Art working to connect art with our political, social, and cultural concerns of the 21st century visits local artist studios. Brooklyn Saturdays brings students to established and emerging artist studios in Bushwick, L.I.C, and D.U.M.B.O. and the New York City area.
During these visits, the artists will discuss their work in the
intimate setting of the studio, a dialog not able to be had in galleries or museums. We hope you will join us for an exciting afternoon and help support the interchange of creativity so essential to New Yorkers.
