  My one-on-one makeup lesson with Lorin Cole was wonderful. She and I talked in advance about what I hoped to learn, and she created a session that met my goals perfectly. I left knowing how to update my look and what I needed in terms of a few different products to achieve that look. We reviewed my current makeup, she created a detailed list of what I use where, and gave me directions in writing with colors and techniques to reinforced what she taught me in person. I have been able to do everything she taught me on my own. Lorin is a real professional. She is as a former model, a working makeup artist, and a fine artist, all of which she puts into her customized guidance. This course was truly everything I wanted, and more.

  I have worn make-up for nearly 30 years, and have gotten make-overs and advice from make-up counters, Sephora, and online tutorials. However, as I get older I’ve started to wonder if there are better products and techniques out there for me. I’m so glad I went to Shara! I learned SO much valuable information from Maggie. She addressed my concerns and showed me techniques and tricks I was unaware of, and I now feel confident that I have the right makeup and tools. My only suggestion is that they provide a printed diagram that can be used to draw in where makeup should go/makes notes. Although they do provide a sheet with instructions, of sorts, I personally feel like a visual representation would be more helpful. It was a lot of information.

  Love, Love, Love! I really enjoyed the one on one tutorial I received. Maggie was so patient and explained how to use products very well. Her recommendations were also very helpful in learning about why we need certain tools when applying makeup. I would definitely recommend this class!

  I’ve been wearing makeup for 22 years and wish I had booked a session years ago! My skin has been changing in recent years and I could never figure out why my makeup routine wasn’t making my skin look flawless. I bought tons of makeup that I saw people using on YouTube makeup tutorials and had no idea what to do with it.   Great course. I went in with absolutely no makeup knowledge and now feel comfortable with a simple look. Derick was awesome, he was patient and answered all our questions. The class says it’s basic but it was tailored towards makeup artist which some of us weren’t, Derick worked with us and help us along our makeup journey.

  Stephanie’s class was extremely informative and fun! In a short amount of time, we learned to do bruises, cuts, scrapes, scratches, and burns. It was also great that Stephanie let us keep the tools we used during class to practice at home. Definitely looking forward to a part 2 of this class

  Thankyou for finally allowing me to learn something I've wanted to learn for years! It certainly was everything I thought it would be whether it be for myself or for a future career. Lauren Whitworth was an excellent instructor who REALLY took her time to share real life experiences and lessons which was my biggest takeaway (ofcourse apart from all the awesome makeup techniques she taught us) she remained professional without being a bore, and have tons of experience in her pocket. She was funny and real, and never lost her patience no matter how many questions you ask. She offers to show u individually again if there was something you didn't understand. Bottom line she was awesome instructor and if you can request for a specific instructor you would be wise to ask for her!

  This school is great! As a graduate but starting off knowing what I had only self taught myself and using what was available on YouTube, IG, etc., these programs really help you get hands on experience with different face shapes, skin types, eye shapes, etc. and teach you various makeup applications and techniques. In addition, they teach you business skills and how to leverage social media to get your name out there and begin your career. The do's and don't's, advice from personal experience, and tips and tricks the instructors provide are all things you can't get from being self-taught and that are of great value. Plus, you graduate with a set of professional, beautiful portfolio pics to tangibly get started with your new career! Can't say enough great things about the school and the people there... highly recommended!

  I just graduated the 5 weeks on weekends program on February 4,2018. Lauren Whitworth was my instructor and I love love love her so much! She is a real professional and yet very kind, always makes every class so enjoyable. Her knowledge is remarkable and never fail to help me solve the problems. We got substitute instructor one time but nothing can compare with Lauren. I highly highly highly recommend to take the class with Lauren. I am so glad that I did enroll the school and got Lauren to be my instructor. Now I got to do what I love! And my life is changing. :)

  It's the best school with great teachers! I took the 5 week course and it's included makeup kit. It mostly was Makeup Forever brands and some others too. The program itself was very informative, I received a lot of attention on every class and even hands on experience, when teacher was able to control my application and give personal recommendation. We had a photoshoot on the graduation date, we were doing three different looks on professional models. We received photos in three weeks. I personally had a great time and I think it's work every penny!

  Nina MUA changed my life for the better. I was really inspired by the top makeup artists in the beauty industry that I wanted to get out there and become certified myself. I am very thankful to have gone under the training of these talented, creative, and charismatic professional makeup artists. They showed their classes so many things not even youtube can always show you. The staff is very friendly and encouraging. Even the teachers are willing to make sure your able to complete your goals during and after the classes. They are patient and want to make sure you understand what the look is all about. With their packages they are promising. They supply you with a makeup bag full of high end makeup (I.e smashbox, inglot, makeup forever etc...) and they are precise with their schedule of the lessons they want to present to us. I also loved my class too. To be surrounded by people that have the same passion as you is an honor. It's amazing for motivation, networking, and empowerment.   This school deserves more than 5 stars! Enrolling at Nina Mua was such an awesome experience for me. First I wanna thank the office staff Mat's for always updating students with possible work opportunities, and for being so informative and helpful ever since I first inquired about the school. Thanks to my instructors, Liz and Paulina, who are both very helpful, knowledgeable with the work, and who help students find and push beyond their own boundaries. During the 5 week Master Class program, I learned so much: from the extremely important basics to avant garde make up application. So really big THANK YOU Paulina and Liz for passing your wisdom and skills on to us. Thank you also to the school owner Nina for always making sure that we, the students, are well taken care of, from our needs to giving us advice on our future in this career. The first time I went to the school, Nina mentioned that her students are like her babies. That is one of the reasons why I enrolled. because it felt like here one would not just learn but also have a good team that can help you achieve your goal as an artist.   I took the Level 1 Beauty course in Jan 2018. My intention was to learn how to properly apply makeup for myself and eventually to others. It can be a challenge with difference face shapes, skin tones, textures, etc and you can't get that one on one professional expertise on YouTube. You can't do the same thing for everyone -which is why I signed up. I felt the price point was fair for the education and especially if one decided to make a career transition. We got the makeup bags the first day (woo-hoo!). It was pretty much what they promised. Some brands I knew of and others I didn't know because they are more industry HD makeup so I thought that was cool that they were exposing us to quality used "on the set". The paperback textbook we received is pretty and inside it is easy-to-read and understand - so no fears if English is your 2nd language. Nina thought of that ;-) The diagrams inside are helpful and the teachers do a good job of going over what the book mentions. The class was small (I was in a group of 4), which I prefer for a better learning experience, and the professor was cool, down to earth, smart, experienced and showed various ways to do things explaining "why" and giving tips along the way. Actually, all the professors were cool and informative and they are actively "working makeup artists" with cool instagram posts that you can follow and see some of their work (very talented). So you're getting quality there too. I like that I had more than one instructor during the 4 week program because everyone has their own little style and tips they offer so its good to have that diversity. I found it fun and helpful that we students would learn a technique, and then apply it on each other. Each class we would rotate until we eventually did each other's makeup throughout the course - I learned a lot from that- especially the eye shapes! I felt I got the value of learning everything I wanted to learn and it was covered in Level 1. In the beginning, when I was comparing with other makeup studios, some things I wanted to learn were on a different level which meant I would have to pay more to learn those one or two things- but I found this course sufficient for the basics and everything I wanted to learn was in this package. Flexible hours and days, close to the train, etc. The staff was helpful in finding a model for me when mine couldn't make it and I get quick responses to emails. Nina is genuinely caring and she visits to meet everyone. Every so often, they have seminars you can join at the school. Informative and helpful (follow on IG). Lastly, the photoshoot - on the last day, I used the photoshoot for myself (didn't get a model) and used it for headshots. They came out better than I expected! I tend to get camera shy and tense up a bit but when I saw the photos, they really choose the best photos! The skin tone, texture, colors and makeup looked great! I was impressed by the quality again, the sharpness and clarity of the photo was amazing. It's a small school - but you get so much value from the lessons, makeup, knowledge, resources, photos, and experience. I am so glad I made the decision to select Makeup Classes by Nina Mua for my education. I went with my gut and I was right!

  I can honestly say that this was amazing! I was a part of a 4 week intensive class that was Monday/Wednesday from 6-9pm and each class FLEW BY. So my main occupation is in Finance so I work from 7am-5pm (on a lucky day) but always loved makeup so the schedule fit me perfectly. Both instructors we had throughout the course (Paulina and Liza) were absolutely amazing. The classes are small which makes it better because you feel like you are really getting one on one time with each teacher. They answered all questions and made class so much fun it was a great learning experience. Both teachers were great at teaching and advising on your skill set. The fact that I've graduated and school is done makes me so sad but Nina MUA is a great company. They always have events going on and will send out emails about the events so the community still is super close even after you graduate. I would highly recommend the course.

  I know make up pretty well and work as a freelance make up artist. I never gone to school tho so decided to go and get certified. I could not expect to learn so much. New tips and secrets about products. Nina Mua school is amazing for beginners or mature make up artists. The atmosphere is great and it's amazing that you can meet artists from all over the world there! The most important they focus on your unique face features rather than just teach you a standard make up. I had a great experience and lovely time.

  It was a fun class but also very informative for a short one day class. A good, inexpensive class to get an idea of basic techniques. The teacher was fun and helpful, and for a 2 hr class, there was a good amount of opportunity for hands on application.

  My experience was excellent and I enjoyed the instructor and business partners. The only trouble I had was my hands felt frostbitten due to the air conditioning unit. Even though they asked if we wanted to have the unit turned down, I didn't want to cause problems being the only one complaining. Overall, I would definitely take classes with them again.
