Description

This class welcomes beginners who have never danced salsa before. Salsa represents one of the most vibrant Latin dances in contemporary dance culture, originating in Cuba and gaining popularity in Puerto Rico. Today's salsa music blends rhythms from Caribbean and South American traditions into the dynamic style heard worldwide.

New York salsa, also called On2 style, features forward and backward motion with a partner, incorporating diverse steps, partner connection, styling, spins, and attitude. Each week, you will learn new and engaging moves while developing your ability to move expressively with the rhythmic patterns of salsa music.

Partner Flexibility: No partner is required; you will rotate with all students during class, ensuring everyone participates fully.
