Marla Bosworth will also discuss how to build your brand to exceed consumers’ emotional needs. This is especially important during a time when consumer spending power continues to be squeezed.
Uncover the top-selling categories (and which ones to avoid) for your own brand of soaps, candles, haircare and skincare in the U.S. and where to tap into the most growth. The takeaways from this class can be applied directly to your own business using Marla's worksheets.
Marla Bosworth has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Fox News, and numerous mass media and beauty industry outlets. She has been a guest lecturer at universities around the U.S. Marla was selected by NY NOW, a wholesale market for retailers and specialty buyers, as a judge for its Emerging Brands entrepreneur category. She mentored up and coming indie beauty brands that were new exhibitors in the New York City trade show, coaching them in booth design, business strategies and development.
Marla's shares with students her extensive background in product and business marketing, market research, social media and formulation consulting. As a former Market Research Analyst for the leading market research company now known as Forrester Research, she guided product development with Fortune 500 companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Canon, Xerox and IBM. She now focuses her market research skills to pinpoint upcoming trends and market opportunities for indie beauty brands.
Marla has 40 years of expertise in retail sales, business development, strategic planning, market research, product development and marketing as well as cosmetic formulation, aromatherapy and herbalism certifications.
