Advanced SQL

This hands-on workshop will build on your SQL knowledge and give you the valuable skills and confidence needed to take your data exploration and analysis ability to the next level. 

Students will begin by working on building fluency with complex queries and move on to a variety of data engineering techniques including manipulating data, creating and modifying tables, and creating views and indexes.

The session will be highly interactive. We will spend the majority of the workshop going through activities and examples that will translate to new skills that you can bring immediately to work or demonstrate to potential employers.

This single-session workshop will run for 3 hours.

Who this program is for:

This workshop is for students that have some previous exposure to SQL. As long you know SQL basics such as "SELECT", "GROUP BY", and "JOIN", you will have enough knowledge to be successful in this class. We will have a brief refresher on SQL basics at the beginning of this session, but if you want more of a review, feel free to check out Introduction to SQL.
