Description

Feel the joy of creating your very own piece of wearable art.

Ayaka Nishi Jewelry School is a private jewelry school that is in the private studio of a jewelry artist. We provide semi-private classes with a small number of only four students per class. From the 1st class experience, curriculum, you can choose beginner's course of all 12 times, wax course, such as free production class, depending on the purpose.

For a student with no experience of jewelry production, I will teach you carefully from scratch. Would you like to partake in jewelry making fun together in an artistic space in a home-like environment?

You will create pieces from nothing by welding using a gas burner, or setting the stones. You can use all tools provided in the studio.

We are conveniently located in the East Village where many other artists live. Because it is a studio run by an active jewelry designer, it is an artistic space decorated with her own work.

Ayaka was a pleasure! The class was fun and unique, and I got it as a surprise for my fiancé, who said it was much more enjoyable than a cooking class (which I later revealed that I considered getting instead). We were the only two doing the one-day jewelry class, but other attendees were in advanced workshops at the school. So it was also really cool to see what they were making and to aspire to more advanced studies if we wanted to sign up for more classes. I thought the ring we made was super cute!

This class was a lot of fun! It’s a small group setting so it’s easy to ask questions and have the teacher review your ring every step of the way! I went solo but a couple was also in the group and made rings for each other (so cute). The class does take the full three hours which honestly flew by. You get to select silver or brass, the texture of your ring, what message you want stamped on the inside, and the color diamond. I’ll definitely be going back for other classes!

The teacher was nice and patient. She provided all the equipment we needed. There was enough time to work on the ring without any pressure. The downside was that we all made the same ring (there were 3 options that were pretty similar to each other). I didn't like the design she offered us to choose from so in the end, I made a ring that I didn't like from the beginning. I believe the reason was that it was our first experience so she chose an easier technique.

The teacher was very kind, she paid attention to everyone. We all made the same ring and I prefer to make a ring that looks quite different from the one we made, but there were no other options (other than the width of the ring)

This class was awesome! You can make your own customized diamond ring (metal - brass or silver), you can choose diamond color, and ring size / width / texture. Ayaka was really knowledgeable and sweet. The small touches to this whole experience made it even better - there were long-term students making their own jewelry to the side and it was nice to kind of see their work. Ayaka provided green tea, snacks, and slippers. Felt really welcoming and comfortable. I only wish we were able to solder and form the ring ourselves, but perhaps that is too hard for a beginner so some steps Ayaka did for us. Would take more courses if I could!
