Description

Created in Paris in 1986, Palais des Thés is a brand of premium tea that offers all-natural Signature flavored teas ("Les Créations"), pure single-estate teas and exceptional limited edition Grand Crus. Founder François-Xavier Delmas has been touring the world's tea plantations for more than 25 years, forming long lasting relationships with suppliers in order to bring the best quality teas to his customers.

For over 25 years, we have been committed to bringing you the freshest and most exceptional teas from China, India, Japan, Sri Lanka… and Paris where our Signature flavored teas (“Les Créations”) are created.

Our unique selection includes more than a hundred green, black, white, oolong, pu erh and rooibos teas each year as well as a few ephemeral “Grands Crus”. All the teas are selected at the source by Palais des Thés team of tea tasters, often from small plantations in remote locations, and in accordance with a strict code of ethics.

It is very informative class, The instructur was very knowledgeable and wasn't rushed answering my questions. We went over 1 hour for the class, and it didn't seem to bother her. Recommended for beginner tea introduction.

Great experience. Friendly, knowledgable, and good atmosphere. Highly recommended. The lesson even ran overtime because we asked so many questions, but the teacher did not even mentioned it. We only realized we were overtime after walking out.

The shop is beautiful and the people were wonderful but the class itself for the price was very disappointing. Four small tastings of tea not even equivalent to a medium Starbucks tea. The knowledge gained was three sentences from an hour class and I was offered 10% off any purchases - silly based on the price of the class my expectation was to have been offered a better discount or at least given a small sample of tea as part of the class price. Not worth the money for the class - lame. I want to be clear that your employees were awesome the entire time. I understand the class was a tasting and didn't expect larger cups of tea but rather a larger sampling of kinds of tea.

I loved this class! I am just beginning to take tea seriously, and this course was the perfect blend (pardon the pun) of verbal instruction combined with tasting. The location was great – Palais des Thes on Prince St is a beautiful little store; the instructor was fabulous, she is a true connoisseur who conveyed information in a passionate, enthusiastic and absolutely understandable fashion, punctuated with frequent sniffs of different teas to illustrate a point. What I learned has already influenced how I am tasting and buying tea. I’m going back for the next level class.

A great experience, we tried four different types of green tea and learnt a lot about preparing tea and tasting. We also learnt about where we'd been going wrong in the past! Definitely worth doing if you're interested in tea and want to know a bit more. The trainer really knew her stuff and is clearly passionate about tea.

We had a great time, very intimate. The instructor's uncle is the buyer and has personal relationships with the plantations. She had also visited some of these plantations and had a lot of knowledge. We had a great time tasting four categories of tea and smelling many both dry leaves and wet.
