With Scott's Pizza Tours, you'll get a serious education in the history, science, culture, and taste of real New York pizza by visiting some of the places that do it best.

Not only do you get a slice at each stop on the tour, we’ll even get you into the kitchens for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at all the different ovens, cheese types, tomato preparations, and dough stretching techniques. Keep track of your findings in your very own Pocket Pizza Journal, a handy notebook we designed specifically for pizza analysis!

If it sounds like we’re a little obsessed, it’s because we are. Our founder Scott Wiener started the tour after leading a group of friends on an epic birthday party pizza crawl in 2007. It was too much fun to keep a secret, so he launched the company with the intention of running a weekly tour while looking for a real job. Flash forward and Scott’s Pizza Tours is one of the highest rated activities in the universe. It’s probably because we’re extremely passionate about our city, our pizza, and sharing both with new friends.

Our tours are conducted by an elite team of pizza lovers who found each other through our collective love of the slice. Scott does not lead every tour, but all of our guides are licensed and trained to dish out slices of pizza AND information in the greatest pizza city ever.

I loved how personal it was. It was small so that was fun. Scott gave such wonderful and individual feedback and guidance. This was a very enjoyable Saturday afternoon...not to mention delicious! Thanks for offering these classes.

The class itself was great - Scott was super engaging and knowledgeable. I learned a lot about different flours and kneading techniques. I’m giving 3 stars because this class is about how to make the dough and that’s it. No info was shared about how to bake it, even just giving a time and temp. The follow up email included a recipe and ... that’s it. If you want to know how to bake this dough, you have to pay for the second class. Or google it, I guess. Which you can also do to find a thousand pizza dough recipes and save yourself the money. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

We had a wonderful time. Krista was a terrific leader. She was cheerful, entertaining, informative and interactive with the group. She Remembered our names, and made sure to keep track of “who was with whom” or “ made new friends with whom”.

The Pizza walk was great, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and energetic. I wish there was at least one more stop on the tour, but overall i would recommend this tour to anyone looking for something quick and fun to do on a weekend.

Our guide, Krista, was truly amazing. She was so informative and fun to be around, and made the whole experience as enjoyable as possible. She was the best part of the whole tour, which is saying something considering we spent several hours eating different delicious pizzas! The whole experience was so fun, and the tour group was such a cool mix of first time NYC-eras and people who’ve lived here forever, like me. I learned so much about my favorite food, and had so much fun doing it. I’d recommend this tour to anyone!

Great information on history and differences between pizza. Not as life changing as I hoped.
