Caitlin Cribbs started violin at the age of three, learning from several Suzuki method teachers until college. She has a bachelors degree in Viola Performance at the University of North Texas and received her Masters in Viola Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music. While in college, Caitlin started specializing in historically informed performance practices and began studying Baroque violin and viola da gamba. After graduating, she received Suzuki teacher training at the renowned Ithaca Suzuki Institute with Carrie Reuning-Hummel and taught at the Fort Worth, Texas Suzuki School. In Texas she performed with several Baroque ensembles, including Dallas Bach Society, Orchestra of New Spain, and Denton Bach Society. Caitlin loves working with beginners and applying her Baroque performance practice techniques to the Suzuki method as well as traditional methods.
