Niraj Trivedi

Niraj Trivedi has had over 20 years of experience in biomedical research. Graduating from Boston University with his B.S. degree in biomedical engineering and his M.S degree from Case Western Reserve University in biomedical engineering, his early work was in the field of biomedical optics, specifically in the field of photodynamic therapy, a laser activated cancer therapy. 

He then entered industry where he focused on microarray technology in all its aspects: working on the instrumentation of scanners, spotting and preparing arrays, hybridizing arrays with mRNA and analyzing the arrays. He then went back to academia to focus on the field of bioinformatics, where he obtatined his second M.S. degree from Boston University. He has now spent the last 7 years at the NIH as a data analyst on bioinformatics and social science data.
